LOLC Participates in Promoting and Strengthening Sustainable and Inclusive Microfinance Growth in Cambodia by Sponsoring the 2024 Annual Microfinance Conference
Siem Reap, 04 November 2024: LOLC, one of the leading deposit-taking microfinance institutions in the Kingdom of Cambodia, participated in the 2024 Annual Microfinance Conference organized by the Cambodia Microfinance Association on the theme "Sustainable and Inclusive Microfinance: Current Situation and Future Trends of the Sector".
This conference explores how microfinance institutions (MFIs) can continue a sustainable and responsible microfinance that supports economic resilience through the adoption of financial technology and sustainable solutions, by innovating and upholding customer rights and protections, promoting environmental responsibility, and participating in climate finance initiatives.
The conference was chaired by His Excellency Sum Sannisith, Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Cambodia, Mr. Sok Thol, Deputy Governor of Siem Reap province, Her Excellency Dith Nita, Chairwoman of the Cambodia Microfinance Association, Mr. Sok Voeun, Vice Chairman and Risks and Compliance for the Cambodian Microfinance Association, as well as CEOs from microfinance and banking institutions, regulator from relevant ministries including the National Bank of Cambodia (NBC) and the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and over 400 development partners.
