  • Sustainability Management Team traveled to Mondul Kiri to deliver debt management training to clients

    From May 28th to May 31st, 2024, the Sustainability Management Team traveled to Mondul Kiri to deliver debt management training to clients, enhancing their financial literacy and improving their debt management efficiency. Additionally, participants gained insights into environmental and social issues, encouraging them to actively participate in environmental protection and to prioritize education by supporting their children's pursuit of the highest levels of education. The training is not only provided to LOLC clients, but also to the public. As a result, there were a total of 82 participants, including 59 women participants in 7 villages as shown below. 1.     On June 7, 2024, LOLC's Battambang Branch hosted a vibrant community event at Sar Kheng Prek Narin High School in Prek Narin Village, Battambang Province. The event, filled with enthusiasm, provided essential resources to the school, including benches, library books, and a stone fence. This initiative aimed to elevate education standards in the community.   • LOLC Cambodia Sustainability Management team provided a

    From May 14th to 17th, 2024, the LOLC Cambodia Sustainability Management team provided a "Debt Management" training course at the Snoul District Branch in Kratie Province. The training covered key considerations such as loan purposes, repayment capacity, and avoiding multiple loans. Moreover, it also included environmental and social awareness by reducing the use of plastic bags and the importance of education. In this training, a total of 122 participants, including 65 women, attended from the following villages: 1. Treak Village, Srae Char Commune, Snuol District, Kratie Province 2.     On the morning of May 11, 2024, S'ang District Branch of LOLC (Cambodia) initiated a community event by distributing some study materials to students and office supplies as well as others to support the student studies. The above activities confirm the significant contribution of S'ang​ District branch in promoting the education sector in Cambodia in terms of participating in cultivating and developing the next generation to have sufficient knowledge that can help themselves and the country in the future.
  • From April 23rd to 26th, 2024, LOLC Cambodia provided financial education awareness training on 'Debt Management' to remote communities in Mondulkiri Province and Ratanakkiri through the Sustainability Management Team.

    This training is designed to improve clients and other participants' awareness, enabling them to use loans in a proper and objective manner. This initiative involved the donation of benches, garbage bins, and fresh water to the Ba Phnum District Hall located in Chheu Kach Village, Chheu Kach Commune, Ba Phnum District, Prey Veng Province. Through this act of generosity and support, LOLC Cambodia demonstrated its commitment to improving the quality of life for residents in the area.

    On April 3 and 4, 2024 – LOLC (Cambodia), a leading financial institution in Cambodia, gave training on debt management to clients and other residents nearby its branch operation area as mentioned in the following: 1. Thma Totueng Tboung Village, Choam Ta Mau Commune, Memot District, Tboung Khmum Province 4. Chumnum Pol Village, Choam Ta Mau Commune, Memot District, Tboung Khmum Province The training was attended by 50 clients and other residents, 33 of whom were women. After the training, participants can comprehend essential financial knowledge that enables them to weigh their options before deciding to use the loan and they can improve their loan management to avoid falling into over-indebtedness.

    The sustainability management team has persisted in its goal of offering clients and villagers in rural area financial education awareness training on "dept management," with the backing of the management. The major goal of this training is to give participants the necessary knowledge to make wise decisions before taking out a loan and to properly manage their debt to strengthen the family economy and support the growth of the community. On March 12, 2024, 110 people attended this financial education awareness training, including 50 women from some isolated villages. The training consisted of 4 sessions, as follows: 1. Distributed study materials to students, planted trees, provided books for the library, donated 2 beaches and painted school fences as well in the event. These activities show the love and care of LOLC (Cambodia) to the community, especially contributing to promote environment and education sector in Cambodia.
